Birthday Boy

Happy Birthday to Kase who was 7 on Valentine's Day!

We loved seeing your birthday photos, Kase, and we thought your drum kit birthday cake looked amazing!

Birthdays

This week we figured out everybody's birthday dates and when their birthdays are. We did a graph where we had to colour in a cake and then stick it on to the chart. We had to colour it in Mrs Kelly's standard. We found out that March has the most birthdays and April has the least. No one has a birthday in April. Two people have already had their birthday this year. By Kendall

Daily 5

What a great start the children have made with Daily 5, our new literacy program. They have been working on 'Read to Self' and they have been building up their reading stamina a little more each day. The children know that the best way to become a better reader is to practice, practice, practice! They have been choosing books carefully to make sure that the books in their individual boxes are a 'good fit' for them. Today they managed 10 minutes of uninterrupted reading and I think they could have carried on for longer. Well done team!
